The Hospital Auxiliary’s annual Lights of Love fund-raising project begins on November 15 and continues through New Year’s Day. Donations to Lights of Love permit area residents to acknowledge or honor those who have been significant in their lives. Acknowledgment cards are sent to those being honored or to the family of those being remembered. The names of the honorees are written in a special book which remains on display in the main lobby of KershawHealth Medical Center throughout the holiday season. Additionally, the name of each honoree will be written on an ornament and displayed on the Lights of Love tree in the main lobby. (Ornaments may be picked up in the gift shop during the month of January.) Two live trees, planted on the hospital grounds especially for the Lights of Love celebration, will be lit during the season to honor those in whose names donations have been made.
